Airstrike Hits Central Gaza
Israeli forces carried out an airstrike in the Nuseirat area of central Gaza on Saturday, targeting a member of the Islamic Jihad militant group, the military confirmed. The strike comes despite a fragile ceasefire brokered by US President Donald Trump, which has held for the past two weeks.
According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the targeted individual was planning an imminent attack on Israeli troops. The military emphasized that operations will continue to neutralize immediate threats to its forces in the region.
Casualties Reported in Hamas Territory
Inside Gaza, the Al-Awda hospital, run under Hamas administration, confirmed it had received wounded patients following the strike. Officials reported four injured individuals, noting that the Israeli attack hit a civilian car near the Al-Ahli Club area in Nuseirat Camp.

The incident underscores the tense situation along the Gaza Strip, where sporadic strikes and retaliatory measures continue even amid diplomatic efforts to maintain a temporary truce between Israel and Hamas allies like Islamic Jihad.
The IDF reiterated that it maintains the right to defend its forces against attacks, signaling potential further operations in response to perceived threats.
